Tim O'Connor

im’s interest in art began when he worked as a color press operator in 2002. There he learned to appreciate color reproduction and image creation. A trip to KC’s Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts rejuvenated his artistic passion by way of its beautiful architecture and surplus of views; this became the deciding factor in pursuing his photography career. A chance exploration of an abandoned warehouse sparked an obsession with the colors, textures and rich histories of these dilapidated buildings. The thrill of capturing lesser-seen spaces frequently led to many adventures with camera in hand. Gritty, candid, and always from the soul, his work evokes the quiet beauty of urban settings.
